Brief Description:  Left wing skeleton prep part #3

Got back into the garage sooner than I thought.

I was able to debur the right wing ribs, scotchbrite them, clean them, and then prime them. The hot day made for quick priming. The tedious rib work is done, for the most part!

Sure enough, I screwed up my riveting sequence. I riveted the outboard left wing rib to the main spar...I called Van's Aircraft and I was told no problem, but sure enough, I posted on Van's Airforce and the response I needed, I got.

The obvious was staring me in the face. The leading edge rib goes into the same hole in that section. The rivet length was the same as the other rivets in the ribs to main sapr assembly, which threw me off, as well as not looking carefully enough at the plans.

I'll leave it riveted for now and drill them out after I get the majority of the wing done.

I also made the bracket to attach the outboard rib to the wing stand. I'll sandwich a piece of plywood between the rib and the bracket to give me some wiggle room for the skins.
